Bio

Paige Penney is a  four time Canadian Folk Music Award nominated and two time MusicNL Award nominated, 19 year old, multi-instumentalist, singer songwriter from St.John's, Newfoundland, Canada. 

Her natural musical ability has captivated and stole audiences hearts from the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival stage in her hometown to the Smoky Mountain Songwriters Festival in Gatlinburg Tennessee. Paige has received a tearful standing ovation while performing her original song, "Watch Out For Your Step" with
Newfoundland Supergroup, The Once, at their Christmas show at Gower StreetChurch. The group's Andrew Dale proclaimed her a "Superstar" in front of a sold out audience. Anthony Germain, of CBC radio, called her a true talent, a one to watch as her star rises. Paige has worked with the world renowned Shallaway youth choir in developing a choral arrangement of her original music.  In the summer of 2017, Paige and her band The Old Souls, performed on the TD main stage at the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival. She is a two-time winner of the Music NL Newfound Talent Contest and has also won an Arts and Letters Award for her song “Natural Disaster”. In the Summer of 2018, Paige launched a crowdfunding campaign and reached her goal recording her first EP in the same studio as Taylor Swift recorded hers in at Nashville's Dark Horse Studio! While in Nashville, Paige had the opportunity to play at the The Bluebird Café! Paige's debut EP released May 24th 2019 and is available now on all streaming platforms! Her first single and title track,"Watch Out For Your Step", features Newfoundland super trio The Once! Paige second single, "Shooting Star" features a co-write with 

Alan Doyle and Alan has a cameo in the music video. Paige released a Pandemic inspired single, "When All is Said and Done" with a hope for a return to normal. Christmas 2020 Paige released her original Christmas song "One Star". 

In September 2021 Paige opened up for Canadian sensation Johnny Reid at the Iceberg Alley performance tent and headlined her own show at The  Masonic Theatre. Paige is currently wrtting and recording for her sophomore album to be released in 2023.
